Connecticut Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Effective October 1, 2019, Connecticut has passed the Time’s Up Act.  This regulation requires that all companies with 3 or more employees provide a two-hour sexual harassment prevention training to both supervisors and employees by October 1, 2020.  In addition, all new employees who were hired on or after October 1, 2019 are required to attend a two-hour training within their first six months of hire.

This training is a legal requirement, yet it’s also an opportunity to convey to your employees that your company values a positive, safe, respectful environment and encourages open communication.

Bell HR Solutions provides interactive two-hour trainings for supervisors and employees that meet Connecticut state regulations and stimulate active participation and dialogue.

Additional state regulations include providing a written sexual harassment policy to employees as well as posting requirements. Employers with fewer than three employees must provide two hours of training and education to all existing supervisory employees by October 1, 2020 or within six months to new supervisory employees.

Bell HR Solutions also offers partnerships with businesses to handle complaints in a manner that is timely, professional, legally compliant and respectful to all parties involved.
